Claudio Carvalho, DO, MS,
is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and
fellowship trained in interventional pain management. He uses
a synergistic approach of wellness, pain control and
restoration to optimize a patient's results, aiming to an
improved performance and an enjoyable quality of life. He
completed his residency at the UCLA West Los Angeles VA
program, after graduating from Michigan State University
College of Osteopathic Medicine. He holds his masters degree
in exercise physiology and biomechanics, and has been involved
in sports medicine and human performance for 25 years. Dr.
Carvalho is a staff physician at HOAG Hospital.
Thomas S. Bakman, DC, FAFICC
is specialized in functional assessments and rehabilitation
treatments. For the past 20 years, he has participated and
successfully coordinated multidisciplinary rehabilitation
teams to optimized patient care. His is a certified running
coach and has treated some of our Olympians at the USOC
training center in Colorado Springs, CO. He volunteers most
Saturday mornings as the team doctor for the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Foundation Team In Training program. He is also a
physician advisor and utilization review consultant for
Southern California Edison, and a Risk Management consultant
for large corporations such as Los Angeles Department of Water
and Power and others. Dr Bakman has been active in Rotary
International for the past 18 years.
